Alixir - Smart closet recommendations for busy lifestyles

 

As a college student who is looking to break into the professional field, I found it very difficult to find an outfit that would not only prepare me for professional interactions but also was suited for the weather. Due to this, my group and I decided to build a smart closet that would give users recommendations on what to wear based on the current weather and their closet. The app would require users to snap pictures of their closet and they would be able to sort their clothes into categories. From there, every morning, Alixir would give a recommendation based on the weather and events in their calendars on what to wear in their closet for people who have busy lifestyles. Alixir would make their revenue from running ads by showing information from calendars to give personalized suggestions. For example, a user may have "buy swim trunks" in their calendar, which is why Alixir would not only give them a reminder but also show swim trunks from stores that the users would be able to purchase from. It solves the problem of time.
